Things I'm Thankful For

Apologies for the lack of posts as of late. Covid has made it difficult to maintain my blog's theme of the beauty and glory of life without coming across as insensitive and/or out of touch. But even in the midst of a nationwide pandemic, general uncertainty, and usual vitriol and bile accompanying a presidential election, there are still things to be thankful for. As such, I'd thought I'd share a few of mine. This list is in no particular order.
I have a car now. It's very old and a bit of a clunker (but nowhere near as clunky as the previous clunker I drove), but it's paid for in full and it gets me where I need to go with decent gas mileage.
I still have my circle of friends. Not being able to talk to people as much just makes me more appreciative of the friends I do have. And several of them have grown to appreciate me more during these times as well.
I still have God, who isn't going anywhere anytime soon. And He's a great source of never-ending stability in these troubling times.
I have a full-time job with benefits now. Something I didn't have before. Job benefits are nice. One of which leads to my next point.
I have my own insurance now. I was able to go to the doctor, dentist, and eye doctor again for the first time in seventeen months. Only one cavity too.
There are several others I could make, but you get the idea. No matter how bad things get, you always have something to be thankful for. An attitude of gratitude can help take the edge off life's lemons.
